Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre – Remote

Overview:

• Can be based in any country in the European Union (EU).
• EU Passport required as travel to other EU countries will be required.
• Projects will mainly be in the Data Centre sector
• Projects based in Ireland and EMEA
• 12 month contract, likely to be renewed

Requirements:

• Ideally 7+ years’ mechanical building services design experience
• Data Centre project experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Chartered Engineer status is desirable.
• Knowledge of Irish & European industry regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop mechanical systems
• Prepare detailed mechanical designs, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage and coordinate mechanical engineering aspects of projects from concept through to completion.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical expertise.
• Present and communicate mechanical design concepts to clients effectively.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
• Integrate innovative solutions into mechanical designs to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on mechanical designs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the design and construction phases.
